What to do if you are worried about a child or adult at risk

If you are worried or concerned about a child who is being abused or neglected, or is at risk of harm, please tell someone.  You can contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or your local authority social services department.

If there is a danger to life, please do not delay, phone 999 for the emergency services.

If you are worried about an adult at risk of harm please contact your local authority Social Services department.

If there is a danger to life, please do not delay, phone 999 for the emergency services.

Please note I do not take safeguarding referrals, nor can I respond to any emails seeking advice in respect of safeguarding matters of a confidential nature.  This is in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and my advice would always be to contact your local authority or the emergency services.
