Are you OKAY? Accredited CPD Mental Health Awareness and Response Training

Colleagues may be managing pressure, anxiety, low mood or personal challenges
that are not always visible. Many people want to help, but simply don’t feel confident starting the conversation.

Are you OKAY? is a practical, compassionate training day designed to give
individuals the confidence, awareness and tools to respond to mental health
concerns appropriately and supportively.

This accredited CPD course creates a safe, respectful space where delegates can
learn, reflect and build skills they can immediately apply within their workplace and
wider life.

This course is suitable for adults aged 18 and over and is ideal for:

  • Managers and team leaders
  • HR professionals
  • Workplace wellbeing leads
  • Colleagues who want to feel more confident supporting others
  • Organisations committed to creating a healthier working culture

No prior knowledge is required.

By the end of the training, delegates will be able to:

  • Begin a conversation about mental health and wellbeing with greater
    confidence
  • Recognise the signs and indicators of mental ill health or emotional distress
  • Listen effectively and respond in a calm, supportive way
  • Understand how to guide someone towards appropriate help
  • Identify local and national sources of support
  • Recognise how mental health impacts boththe workplace and home life
  • Understand the NHS England Five Ways to Wellbeing
  • Share simple, practical coping strategies that can be used and
    modelled within teams
  • Consider small, realistic workplace changes that can positively
    influence staff wellbeing

The focus is not on turning people into counsellors. It is about helping individuals feel confident, informed and able to respond appropriately when someone may be struggling.

The course is delivered face-to-face in a supportive group setting, allowing time for
discussion, reflection and shared learning.

Cohort sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure a personal and engaging experience. This allows delegates to ask questions, explore scenarios and build genuine confidence in a safe environment.

The training is delivered by Sarah Henry, an accredited and experienced mental health trainer with extensive experience working with organisations, schools and leadership teams.
